Osterberg Residence
Project Goal: The rooms flow one into the other through the combination of colors, patterns and textures in the window treatments. A rich palette was chosen to create a cozy Texas Casual ambience.

The pattern and colors of the valances ties the living/dining area together. A Tiffany lamp, and throw pillows with a Western theme, pick up the colors and soften the leather and tile. Cotton draperies with a printed leather pattern cover the slider doors.

The breakfast area is set by a bay window. The flag valance with small tassels on each point provides a fun, light and different look. Navy blue and off white tie in with colors in the living/dining area.

The scalloped soft valance with cone details unifies the bay window, and adds a clean, tailored look. It sets the stage for a cozy reading area in the master bedroom. |
|
When two windows meet at a 90 degree angle with very little wall separation, they look best when treated as one. In the office, the library pattern of Kravet fabric covers a simple flat valance, and its pattern is repeated on the pillows.
